Francesca Morgante is Professor of Neurology and Eleonor Peel Chair for the study of Ageing and Head of Neuromodulation and Motor Control Section at City, St. George’s University of London. She is an honorary consultant neurologist at St George’s University Hospital, London.
She is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s disease, Dystonias, Tremor Syndromes, Rare and complex movement disorders.
Her research interests span from studying the kinematic features and neural mechanisms of movement disorders to developing novel neuromodulation paradigms to treat these neurological conditions. She has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and many chapters in books focusing on Movement Disorders.
She is one of the Associate Editors of Movement Disorders Journal and she is on the editorial board of Movement Disorders, Movement Disorders Clinical Practice, and Journal of Neurology. She is the Chair of the Education Committee of the International Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Society. She is a medical advisor for Parkinson’s Europe and Dystonia Europe
